The Jesus & Mary Chain - PSYCHOCANDY (40th Anniversary Edition) LP

The Jesus and Mary Chain’s 1985 debut, Psychocandy, is a landmark of alternative rock, combining feedback drenched guitars, distorted noise, pop melodies, and detached vocals into a sound that would become hugely influential on shoegaze and noise pop. The album balances abrasive walls of guitar with deceptively sweet songwriting, from “Just Like Honey” to “You Trip Me Up” and “Never Understand.”
