Fun House is the second album by The Stooges, originally released in 1970 and produced by Don Gallucci. Widely regarded as one of the most influential proto-punk records ever made, it pushed rock music toward a rawer, more chaotic, and visceral sound.
Unlike their debut, Fun House is more aggressive and free-form, driven by the explosive performances of Iggy Pop and a heavily improvisational band dynamic. Tracks like “Down on the Street,” “T.V. Eye,” and the sprawling “L.A. Blues” capture a loose, almost collapsing intensity that would later become foundational for punk and alternative rock. Though initially a commercial disappointment, the album is now considered a landmark recording that helped redefine the limits of rock music.
