Black Sabbath - VOL. 4 (2016 Remaster) LP

Released in 1972, Vol. 4 finds Black Sabbath expanding their sound without losing the weight of their earlier records. “Wheels of Confusion” moves between sprawling guitar passages and heavy riffs, while “Changes” takes a stripped back, piano driven approach. From the pounding groove of “Supernaut” to the instrumental calm of “Laguna Sunrise,” the album captures a band exploring new territory on their own terms.
